Sunday Recap

I forgot to post a few pictures when I did my last post. Here they are!

These are of the boys last week when they had to go to the hospital for thier chest xrays! They had to wear the masks! It was so cute! I am happy to report they are doing tons better! They will have 4 days of antibiotics to go but they are doing good!

This weekend the kids and I went to Utah! We stayed at my moms house for a scrapbook overnighter and then on Saturday the boys went to play with Grandpa Hall and Britt and I went to meet McKenna! She is a doll! She is a beautiful baby! She is 8 lbs 15 oz but she is still so tiny! I forget what its like to hold a little baby! I could have held her for hours. Its so relaxing and comforting to hold a baby! I love her and I am so glad I was able to see her! I wont be able to see her again for about a month which makes me sad. She will grow and change so much before I see her again. But her mommy promised to send lots of pictures! McKenna is precious! Congratulations Jeff and Shan and Big Sister Kali!

Well hopefully this week will be a good week! No sick kids! Yahoo! I will blog again soon!

Pneumonia and a New Niece!

Just a quick update from the House of Hall!
The kids have still been sick all last week and this week. They were doing a little better on Friday so they went to school. They played a little on Saturday, but then on Sunday they were all sick again. On Monday they all stayed home. I took Carter to the Dr. and found out he had some pneumonia in the bottom half of his left lung. He started antibiodics. Monday night Spencer started feeling really bad so Dave took him to Dr. on Tuesday morning. Poor Spence has 2 lungs full of pneumonia. He started on 2 antibiodics and lots of breathing treatments. Britt however was so bored on Monday that she went back to school on Tuesday. She was really tired but made it the full day and all day today!
Whew! What a difference 24 hours makes. Both boys have done tons better today! No fevers and less coughing! I think we should all be back to school tomorrow! Yahoo!

Now for better news!

Announcing:

McKenna Hall
Born Tuesday April 21 @ 1:20 pm
Born to: Jeff and Shannon Hall
Baby Sister of: Kali Hall

What a sweet baby girl! I cant wait to hold her and kiss her! I love her already!

Happy Wednesday!

Our Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter! It started on Friday when we did a special FHE. We followed a special recipe that ends up making cookies. After adding ingredients you read scriptures that relate to the ingredient. It turns out as a hollow cookie like as the empty tomb. If you are interested let me know and I will copy the lesson for you. It was a wonderful experience. We all felt the Spirit and now know the true meaning of Easter. I also did a thing with a Jesus doll and a craft. I didn't take pictures of that so I will and post them later. On Saturday we went to the Blackfoot Easter Egg Hunt. SONIC was a sponsor! The kids only got a few eggs but it was fun!

After the Hunt we headed to Utah! We went to Ma T's house for coloring eggs, dinner and the annual toss the eggs over the house!

Uncle Thad was so funny! He tried to dye the egg "white"!

We finally told him that the "dye" he was using was water! The kids thought it was hilarious! Funny Uncle "Fad"! We always color eggs and then throw them over my moms house! It is the funnest messiest thing. (I didnt feel very good so I didnt get pictures. I will post some later of last years.) Anyway there were eggs all over my moms roof and sidewalk and lawn. This year about 10+ seagulls came and had an egg feast. Its a great family tradition!
That night we went to Perry to stay with Pa and Grandma Nea! Cousin/Niece Kali was there. She got a new bike! The kids loved pushing her on it!
Sunday we got up and saw what the Easter Bunny brought for the kids.
The kids played and I went and visited my dear friend Kellie! Then back to Perry for a Easter/Birthday dinner and Easter Egg hunt!

Then we headed home. I had not been feeling good all day and by the time we got home Britt had a fever and was coughing. Britt stayed home Monday. Then Monday night the boys got sick so me and the kids all stayed home on Tuesday. Wednesday Dave stayed home with the kids while I went to work. Then on Thursday I was so sick that I stayed home with the kids. Then today we all felt better enough to go to school. That is why it has taken me so long to post pictures this week. It has been a miserable coughing, aching, stuffy nose, sore throat, fever, and headache week. I am glad it is Friday and that there are only 6 more school Mondays left! I will post again soon! Love to all! Hope you had a great Easter!

Do you FROG?

Okay so I learned this new thing...well its new to me and I cant get it out of my mind for some reason. The thing I learned was FROG. Okay not the animal but what the letters stand for: "Fully Rely On God". Ohh I love it. I had never heard of that until this Christmas season. I was in my Primary class and one of my sweet 8 year old girls was talking about a Frog Tree she had seen at the Festival of the Trees. I was like oh ok. Then she told me what it stood for. Wow! I was moved. So since then I have been looking at Frogs differently. This week "FROG" keeps jumping into my head (pun intended). I want to make a sign with a FROG on it with the letters and what they mean. I want to really "FROG". I want to rely on GOD no matter what. I want to be able to put my problems in His hands and let him guide me through it. I have been thinking alot about that these past few days. Today I was searching the internet for cute frogs and guess what. There is a "FROGGIE" too! It is "Fully Rely On God's Grace In Everything". Ohh. Ohh! Double Ohh! I love it. I even found a cross-stitch that I can do with FROG on it! Sweetness. For some reason little things like having a sign or a frog that I can see helps me to remember HIM and all he has done for me. And how I should trust in HIM with every little thing. Okay I am rambling but there is a point.

I think my total FROG obsession this week has alot to do with the Easter holiday that is coming. So far with little kids Easter at our house has been about Easter Bunny, Easter candy, Easter egg hunts... you know. But this year since we are really working hard on learning more about Jesus and becoming more like him, I really want to show the kids what Easter really means. I have a few ideas that will not only help but will also be fun. But I want more ideas. Please send me your ideas on how to make Easter about Jesus and not Easter Baskets. I will post my cute ideas after Easter so I dont ruin it if the kids read this, then maybe you can use them next year!

Well hope you all "FROG" and let me know how you do! Loves to All!

Weekly Update

Its been a long week. I tell ya I love having time off school, but honestly I think that going back after a long break messes things up royally. It was hard trying to get back into routine...even with only a week off. I am glad its over! I am glad I made it.

So far this week:

*Spencer has been to the Dr. 2 times and has been on 3 different medicines. We think his shingles might have come back. We are now thinking it might be a herpes virus right under his left eye. It is horrible looking. We go back to the Dr. on Tuesday to make sure it is healing ok. I guess its pretty bad to get the herpes virus in your eye. We hope and pray that it goes away without any complications.

*After staying home to take Spencer to Dr on Wednesday I got a terrible bout of some tummy bug. It was miserable. I had planned on taking a dinner over to a sister I visit teach. Luckily I had everything ready to just cook. My sweet companion hadn't been feeling well all week with a cold but she came and got the food and delivered it. Thanks to David for helping with the kids while I whined on the bed. He also went and bought me a Sprite! Good Husband!

*Friday we had a horrible snow storm. It seriously looked like December 23 and not April 3. It was terrible. I left for work early and was driving slow but I still managed to slip and slide all over the road. It was scary. I am so thankful that all the drivers were paying attention and did not run into me and I didn't run into them. Embarrassing enough though that my neighbor was driving right behind me, saw the whole thing and called and told his wife all about it. Ahhh. He was concerned about me so that's nice.

* Today

Kids cleaned their rooms. I did some cleaning and started laundry. Now we are having a lazy day listening to General Conference. We are watching both sessions from 10-12 then 2-4. Kids are trying to sit quietly and listen while coloring. Poor Dave has a terrible cold so he is watching conference from the comfort of our bed. I call him on his cell phone from downstairs if someone has a great thought that we need to work on. Told you it was a lazy day! I am off to enjoy it! Love to all!

Dan the Man

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR DANNY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Today is my one and only brothers birthday! Yes April Fools is Danny's birthday! Danny is 32 years old today. Believe me its been an incredible 32 years. Danny was born a few months early with a lot of complications. Dan was born with too much water on his brain causing some brain damage. The actual title is hydrocephalus. The doctors had to put a shut from his head to his tummy when he was very little. He also had open heart surgery when he was only a few days old. The doctors did not think Danny would live and if he did he would never walk or talk. Well we should have "bet" those doctors. Now 32 years later, Danny walks all over town and never shuts up! Danny graduated high school and holds a "regular" job with a paycheck. He still lives with my mom but Danny is amazing. First Danny grew up in a house full of sisters. Our dad died when Dan was 11 so he really was the only boy around. He survived...barely! He is the center of our family! That is sometimes good and sometimes bad. Danny is hilarious and comes up with the funniest things. Danny also has a very "grumpy" side as well. We all love to pester Dan! He is a pretty good sport. I love to tease him and make fun of him. In High School if anyone would tease Danny, I would run them down with my car and have a few "words" with them. No one picks on Danny, but me. Dan and I have our "sibling" moments but I love Danny so much! He is my baby brother and I adore him. I cant imagine how our lives would be without Danny. Dan your the Greatest! I am so glad you proved the doctors wrong! You deserve all the San Fransisco 49 ers, Coke, and M&M junk you could ever want! Thanks for being my brother and for showing us that "normal" isn't all its cracked up to be! Happy Birthday Dan Dan the Alien Man!
