Busy Busy

Its been a busy couple of weeks! Here's an update!
  • Spencer got his staples out! He did great! He brought the staples home and took them to school for show and tell!
  • I have been busy working on the posters for Enrichment Night! Its been a bigger task than I originally thought! Here is the finished product!

  • I have also been frantically working on the scrapbooks for my class. I am such a procrastinator. I planned on doing these at the beginning of the year. I have been taking pictures all school year, but leave it to me to leave it until the end. So lately all I have been doing is scrapbooks. Its fun but gets a little tedious when you are doing 7 of the same thing. They do have individual pictures but they are all pretty much the same! I am down to the last page and yahoo! They are ready for delivery!

  • Last week I had to borrow a friends cricket to cut out BIG things for the posters. To repay her for letting me borrow it, I cut out 4 vinyl tiles for her. They were the big 12*12 ones. They are fun to do but when you are in a hurry they get a little over whelming.
  • I found the cutest easy idea for a end of year teacher gift. I got some of the things to do it and then I was getting ready to print out the cute poem to go with it and guess what. I lost the website with the idea. UGH..So in between working on scrapbooks I have been all over the Internet looking for the idea again. I finally prayed for help and yep I found the website! Yeah!
  • Besides all my extra curricular activities I have been doing all my normal stuff. I am still always behind on laundry. We got a new computer desk for Daves work computer now I have to move around our office to make room. And we are making my scrapbook closet a food storage closet so I have to move and arrange all my stuff. Its going to be a big task. I am planning on working on it the week after school gets out. It has to wait until we get back from our Brigham trip. We are going down Wednesday after school for Ariels graduation, play with Ma T's prize Thursday and Friday, have a Hall Family Dinner on Saturday, and go to McKenna's blessing on Sunday! Its going to be a busy fun weekend! I will post again after next weekend!

Hope all are enjoying their beginning of summer! Loves and Hugs to all!

Spencer's Poor Head

Poor Spencer had a rough evening on Wednesday. He was outside playing while Dad was mowing the lawn. I was inside the house working when all of the sudden I heard Spencer scream and then start crying. I was going to see what happened when Dave started banging on the door. I opened it and Spencers head is covered in blood. Dave ran to get paper towels while I tried to calm Spencer and catch the blood that was rapidly spewing from his head. Dave comes back with the paper towels and we start to clean Spencer up. The poor boy is shaking like crazy and keeps saying "I wish I didnt fall." We got the wound cleaned up a little and it looked bad but we didnt think it was bad enough for stitches cuz it had stopped bleeding. I was worried about Tetnus cuz Spencer had fallen behind the shed where a bunch of old brances and wood and who knows what is stored. I call the Pediatrician and they were open until 8 pm. So I put Spence in the van and off we go to Ped. to make sure he doesnt need a shot. We get to office and they take him in. They clean the "owie" which makes Spence scream. It starts oozing and oozing lots. The Dr. says he is going to need a few and does a stapler movement, unknown to Spencer of course. The nurse goes and gets a cream that will numb the "owie" and we wait for about 15 mins. The Dr. comes in and tells Spence to lay down while she cleans off the cream. She cleans it the proceeds to put in 2 staples. Well Spencer felt a little pinching but thats it. Unfortunately she got the staples in to far apart and had to clip them out. Spencer is now getting mad and asking what the clipping noise is in his head. The Dr and I say Um its nothing. The Dr let puts in 3 fast staples and says ok all done. Spencer sits up. We show him the clipped staples and he doesnt get it. So I nicely proceed to tell him that he has staples in his head. He didnt believe me, so I took a picture with my phone and showed him. He was amazed. Then the poor kid started dripping blood again so the Dr put on some gauze and a cool head band.

Awesome Headband!
All the while this is happening my phone is going nuts with texts and phone calls from Dad and Britt wondering what is going on. Britt leaves me a crying message about her poor baby that she loves so much and please call me.... She is so tenderhearted. So Spence and I check out of the Dr's office luckily without any shots and head to Little Ceasars to pick up dinner. Everyone stares at the little dirty boy covered in blood and wearing his headband :) We then go home where Spence is greeted by a frantic sister. He like the attention for about 2 seconds and then he is mad that everyone keeps looking at his head and asking if he is ok. He is not my attention seeker at all. He did ok that night. I let him sleep with me. He slept fine but from what Dave said I kept "SShhh Spence its ok" all night even though Spencer never made a sound. Ohhhh, I worry in my sleep! Spence went to school the next day. After about 2 hours he calls home. Dad goes and gets him. He was feeling pain and a little dizzy. After some tylenol Spencer is feeilng great and wants to play. Dad promptly took him back to school! He has been doing great. He is a little weary about playing. He keeps saying "I dont want to fall and crack my head more." But he is so happy that baths/showers have to be fast and no head washing until Tuesday!

Other than that we have had a normal crazy week. I am frantically trying to finish up some scrapbooks for my students. I also have to do 2 posters for church as well as my other daily grind things. I am a busy girl!
Until next post....loves and hugs to all!

The Girls Again!

Its been about a week since my last post. Not much happens here. We are just trying to finish up the end of the school year. We did have a fun weekend. We had a Ward BBQ on Saturday and then took a new manager of Daves to TSR. The kids rode go karts, but I didnt take my camera. But tonight was Britt's Girl Scout End of the Year Award Ceremony. She got a few badges and recieved her "cookie bucks" from selling cookies. She can use her "cookie bucks" at the Girl Scout Store. It was a fun night!
Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a wonderful week.
Until my next post

Great Weekend!

We have had a really good weekend. On Friday night we took the kids to the park to play. They love the "spinny thing"! They played on the swings too. It was kinda windy so we didn't stay long but it was fun to go! Then on Saturday we went to Utah for a quick trip. Dave had a meeting so we went along for the ride. He dropped us off at Ma T's and left. We visited for awhile. The boys ended up going out to Elwood to play with the cows with Uncle Thad and Aunt Lisa. Britt and I sat and talked with the "girls". We got to see Ariel and talk about her upcoming wedding. We gave grandma her mothers day present. It was fun. We wanted to go to Perry but Grandma Nea had to work and then Daddy got back late from his meeting. So we picked up boys and came home. Today has been a lazy day for us. Dave had to work this morning so we slept in and just vegged. We missed church though. Dad brought us home some Sonic breakfast and we watched tv until Dad had to leave for a long trip to Utah. He wont be home until Thursday. Its going to be a long week for Mommy :(

So I made some fun things for Mothers Day this year. I cant show you my MIL's since she hasn't seen it yet but here is what I made for my mom!

She is decorating her bathroom in flip flops so I made this for her! It was fun to make and it turned out cute. I also made cake ball flowers! Sorry no picture yet. We took them to Grandma, Aunts, and Friend Moms. They are yummy and turned out cute. I will post a picture of them later. It was great seeing my mom for an early Mothers Day.
I hope everyone Mommy had a wonderful Mothers Day. I think it is such a blessing to be a mommy. Yes it is hard work but so worth the rewards! I am so thankful for my kiddos and for their wonderful Daddy!

Happy Mothers Day!

Giving

Thanks Tori and Shan for this fun idea!
This is how it works:
The first three people to type "Give Me Something!" in the comments on this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. The catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and give the same offer to the first three commenter's who will also craft it forward.
Here are my contingencies:
1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done this year.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be.
5. I reserve the right to make something extremely strange.
6. You must post a picture of what you win when you get it.
Have fun!

Sinus and Snickers!

Another week come and gone. This week I was sick with Sinus Infection. It doesnt surprise me with all the times I get sneezed and coughed on during a day. But I went to the doctor, he put me on an antibiotic and I am feeling better! Hopefully this was the last round of sickness the family will have for a long while......no I am not holding my breath.

Besides me being sick its been a normal week here. School as usual. I am happy to report that there are only 21 1/2 days of school left. I am so excited. I am putting together a small scrapbook for all 7 of my students. I have started and should be close to being done by at least (hopefully) Memorial Day. I am not doing end of the year teacher gifts this year. If I were a better time planner I would have them already started and about finished. I ran out of time. Oh well. Life goes on!

If you read my Easter post, then you know what this picture is about.

Here is what my Moms roof looks like after our "Annual Toss the Egg Over The House" game. There are more on the ground and driveway. But those usually get kicked by the kids. The roof stays this way until the birds come to feast! I know I have more pictures somewhere and I will post them as soon as I find them!

Today we ended the week with a family trip to Sonic! Pocatello was having a "car show" so we all decided to go. We got there and it was raining so we ate in the car.

Then since it was still raining we drove around to look at the cars. We thought the cars were going to be "classic" cars but they ended up being the cars they race at the local raceway. Hmmmm.

It was still fun to get out. Plus we got to try the New Sonic Snickers Blast! Yummy! Well we are looking forward to another fun filled week! I will post again soon!

Love to All!

Happy Birthday Mom

Today is my Moms birthday! My mom is wonderful, amazing, funny, strong, creative, and loving. My mom has been through alot: Her mom died when she was young, she has a handicap son, and her husband died young leaving her to parent 5 kids on her own. She survived! I just want to tell my mom that she is the best mom ever and I am so happy that she is not only my mom but my friend! I miss my mom alot. I used to live about 5 minutes away from her and now I live 2 hours away from her. It cuts down on the visiting time. I used to talk to my mom at least once or twice a day on the phone but now I work full time and it cuts down on the talk time. But no matter what my mom and I are still very close! I dont know what I would do without my sweet mom!

To Mom:
Your a great mom and you have done a wonderful job raising me! Noone could do it better! Noone can take your place! Mom I hope you have a wonderful birthday. I wish I could be there. I love you! I love you! I love you!

Happy Birthday Mom!
