End of Flag Football Season!

Britt, Grandma Nea, and Kali freezing!
Spencer is doing his thing!
Carter getting ready!

Team munchin on pizza!

Boys and Coach Jeff

The boys finished up their Flag Football Season yesterday! It was an awesome game. Grandma Nea and Kali came up from Utah to watch the boys final game! It was so cold outside but we all braved it. Carter had an awesome game. He pulled 2 flags and caught an interception that was close to being a touchdown and ran it to almost make a touchdown for our team! It was so awesome! Spencer did a great job blocking all the boys he was supposed to. We ended the season winning a team that was undefeated! Yes! Go Boys! Afterwards the whole team went to celebrate the season at Craigos (a local popular pizza and pasta buffet)! They handed out the team pictures and trading cards and gave the coaches "Thank You" Gifts! It was great. I am sad that Dad had to miss it cuz of work but it was fun having Grandma and Kali there! I am so proud of the boys. They had fun and learned a little about football. I , as the "run around town to practice and games" mom am happy the season is over. It is getting to be so cold now and I am feeling drained. I am looking forward to the quiet warm nights at home. Until of course the next sport we decide to do comes along. I am giving us til Spring!

Loves, hugs, and football kisses,

Carters Collection

To earn his WOLF for cub scouts, Carter had to have some kind of a collection. Carter has always been fascinated with magnets so we decided to make him a magnet collection. I sent out a message on Facebook for everyone to get Carter a magnet! We had a good response. I came up with a way to display the collection. Here is what we have so far! He still needs to keep collecting so if anyone has any they want to send Carter, let me know. Thanks to those who have contributed so far!
Loves, hugs, and Happy Collecting,
emily

Miley Cyrus in Concert

Here is Britt at Energy Solutions Arena for the Miley Concert. Our seats were Great!
I picked us up some matching shirts from the Miley/Max Collection from Walmart! Britt is still young enough to think its cool to match mom!

Metro Station opened for Miley. Miley's brother Trace is the lead singer for Metro Station. We only knew one of thier songs and Britt wasnt impressed by them. It was still cool to see them.

Here is Britt rockin out to Miley! I cant remember what song this was but Britt loved it. Poor Miley woke up the day of the concert with a sore throat. She was super sick during the concert. During the 2nd song she had to leave the stage and her back up singers took over. I was worried that the concert might be cancelled but Miley just took a short break and came back. She finished up the concert. We could tell she didnt feel good but she still was AWESOME!

Miley!

So guess what! I am a butt! I took my camera with me. I remembered to charge my batteries. I was good to go.....WRONG. I left the extra charged batteries in my bag at the hotel and the batteries in the camera died...right after Metro Station. I was so bummed. I ran all over the arena looking for batteries, asked all the people around me and noone had batteries. I was sick with madness. How could we be at a Miley concert with no batteries for the camera. Luckily I went to this old security guard guy and begged him for batteries. He got me some! He charged me $2 for batteries. I was so desperate for batteries I would have paid $20! What a sweet guy. I am thinking he took the batteries out of something he had. They werent the best but they lasted!

Thank goodness or we would have no pictures.
Britt again! She did get frustrated with me for having to take her picture when she wanted to dance and sing! Britt became friends with some little girls behind us and they rocked out the whole show!

Miley singing GNO!

One part of the show they bring a motorcycle out on stage, Miley got on and they lifted it up with cables from the ceiling and took Miley around the Arena. When Miley got close to where we were sitting the little "friends" and Britt held up a sign! Miley saw them and waved! They were so excited. It was the thrill of the night!

We got to see previews for a movie that Miley plays in and has a song for! Its "Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks! The book just came out. The movie is filmed and will be released on Jan. 10th! I cannot wait to see the movie!

Miley was a great performer. She sang our favorite songs like "Party in the USA, The Climb, Obsessed, GNO, and Bottoom of the Ocean." We are so lucky to have seen her perform!

Miley thanked Salt Lake for being so understanding and amazing while she was sick. I just heard that her next concert city has been postponed. I am so happy we got to see her!

Enjoy the pics!

Britt's Hair and Catch Up!

Ok I know I said that I would post a pictures of Britts hair right after we cut it but she actually didnt let me do it until Sunday. I curled it and made it all poofy and cute and she pushed it down with a headband! But it was still darling! Take a look!

Both of us are loving her haircut! It is so easy and cute! She loves to brush it and I love that its not in her face all the time! I want to straighten it and flip up the ends but she hasnt let me yet. Maybe Sunday?
Well its been a crazy couple of weeks. Getting back into school routine is crazy. Class time for me is a little nuts! I get home and we do homework and then we are usually off to some sort of activity. Britt has Girl Scouts on every other Monday and Activity Days every other Wednesday. Plus we are looking for someone to teach her piano. The boys have football practicve on Tuesdays and Fridays and then they have games scheduled on Thursdays and Saturdays. We have a crazy schedule now. My time on computer is definately limited these days! I need to take pics of boys playing football and then I will post again!
Loves and hugs to all!

Locks of Love

Britt has wanted her hair cut for about a year now. I have kept telling her no, no, no. We decided that since Britt is getting bigger and has to take care of her own hair that she could cut it off if she wanted to. But Ariel wanted Britts hair long for the wedding so we told Britt after the wedding she could cut it off. Well the wedding is done and Britt wanted her hair cut. She wanted to donate it to "Locks of Love". We have a friend that cuts hair so we made an appointment to have it done!

This is this morning after her shower with clean dry long hair!

Locks of Love.org said to put the hair in a ponytail and braid it and it had to measure 10 inches!

Here is the actual hair cut time! Notice Britts eyes are closed. My heart was beating like crazy!

Here is the cut off ponytail! AAHHH!

Here is the Final Look! Britt looks so cute! It is short in back with longer sides and bangs! I will get a picture tomorrow when it is all done! Britt loves her hair! She keeps looking in the mirror! I think it make her look older!
Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day vacation! Its nice to have a 3 day weekend!
Love,
Em
