Britt's a Babysitter!

Britt had her first "official" babysitting job this week! Our next door neighbor asked a few weeks ago if Britt babysitts yet. I told her that Britt babysitts the boys all the time and has helped take care of her cousins. I told her that Britt is great and if I was home I would let her babysitt. So the neighbor called and asked Britt to babysitt this week. Britt got to babysitt a 5 year old boy and a 2 year old girl for an hour! She was so excited! Before she went we found her some Halloween books to read to the kids, some Halloween coloring pages, and a little snack!

Here is Britt already to go!

When she got home she said everything was great! They had tons of fun! I didnt tell her she might get paid (just in case) but she pulled a $5 out of her pocket! I was amazed. 1 hour of babysitting and she got $5! Wow! I dont pay her that much! I saw the neighbor later on and told her that $2 an hour for 2 kids would be great and she said nope! What a sweetie! Britt did fantastic and cant wait to babysitt again.
It was such an emotional time for me. I cant believe my little baby is all grown and able to babysitt on her own. I told everyone at work about it and had to take pics! I know! She grew up too fast!
Congrats on babysitting Britt!

Halloween Crafts!

We had a fun time crafting this week!
I had these Foam Pumpkins left over from last year!
I let the kids decorate them!

I found these cute Halloween door hangers at the Dollar Store!

The Great Pumpkin Patch!

We went to a Great Pumpkin Patch
to get our pumpkins this year!
I had so much fun taking pics of the kids!
I love these types of things!

The day we went was pretty freezing!

We hurried and got our pumpkins picked out.

Loaded up in the WARM van!

And home to make a mess of my kitchen!
A fun gooey once a year mess!

We love carving Pumpkins!
Its fun to see all the different faces match our personalities a little!

loves, hugs, and pumpkin gut kisses,

Corn Maze

For Family Home Evening a couple of weeks ago, Dave took us to a Corn Maze in Rigby! It was a perfect night to go. We went right after dinner so it was still daylight and it was chilly, but not freezing!

Here are the kids at the enterance!

When you pay they give you a checkpoint ticket. There are 12 stations located in the maze and when you find one there is a special shaped hole punch to punch your ticket. Off we go!

They had 2 of these of lookout places but they didnt help at all. The corn was so high! The checkpoints were not visible. People are not visible. At one point in the night we had (not so) brilliant idea to split up boys and girls. Britt and I walked around in circles and were a little concerned. I didnt have my phone and Dad had the car keys! Luckily we found Dad and the boys!

We were in the Corn Maze for about 1 1/2 hours! It was great exercise and we found all the checkpoints.

We turned in our tickets at the end for a drawing. Afterwards we went to Arctic Circle for some shakes! It was a great night! Thanks Daddy!

Loves, hugs, and corn maze kisses,

emily

End of Flag Football Season!

Britt, Grandma Nea, and Kali freezing!
Spencer is doing his thing!
Carter getting ready!

Team munchin on pizza!

Boys and Coach Jeff

The boys finished up their Flag Football Season yesterday! It was an awesome game. Grandma Nea and Kali came up from Utah to watch the boys final game! It was so cold outside but we all braved it. Carter had an awesome game. He pulled 2 flags and caught an interception that was close to being a touchdown and ran it to almost make a touchdown for our team! It was so awesome! Spencer did a great job blocking all the boys he was supposed to. We ended the season winning a team that was undefeated! Yes! Go Boys! Afterwards the whole team went to celebrate the season at Craigos (a local popular pizza and pasta buffet)! They handed out the team pictures and trading cards and gave the coaches "Thank You" Gifts! It was great. I am sad that Dad had to miss it cuz of work but it was fun having Grandma and Kali there! I am so proud of the boys. They had fun and learned a little about football. I , as the "run around town to practice and games" mom am happy the season is over. It is getting to be so cold now and I am feeling drained. I am looking forward to the quiet warm nights at home. Until of course the next sport we decide to do comes along. I am giving us til Spring!

Loves, hugs, and football kisses,
emily

Carters Collection

To earn his WOLF for cub scouts, Carter had to have some kind of a collection. Carter has always been fascinated with magnets so we decided to make him a magnet collection. I sent out a message on Facebook for everyone to get Carter a magnet! We had a good response. I came up with a way to display the collection. Here is what we have so far! He still needs to keep collecting so if anyone has any they want to send Carter, let me know. Thanks to those who have contributed so far!
Loves, hugs, and Happy Collecting,
emily
